About

About Family Movers Pro

Family Movers Pro started because Ellis got tired of watching neighbors get burned by movers who showed up late, rushed the wrap job, and left before the boxes were even in the right rooms. He put together a crew built around the opposite habits. Every job starts with a real look at what is being moved, whether that means walking through the house in person or talking it through on the phone room by room. From there the crew wraps furniture in moving blankets, pads doorways and stair rails, and carries things the way they would want their own carried. Ellis still runs jobs himself most weeks, not just the schedule from an office. Around Anderson that matters, because a lot of our calls come from people who already know a neighbor or a coworker we have moved before. We would rather earn the next job that way than through a flashy sign.

Questions

What people ask before booking

How far ahead should I book a move in Anderson?

Two weeks is comfortable for most local jobs. The end of the month and the summer stretch fill up first, so if your lease turns over on the thirtieth, call as soon as you have a date.

Will an apartment move take longer than a house?

Not always, but stairs and elevators tend to add time compared to a driveway. We ask about the layout and any building rules ahead of the day so the crew size already accounts for it.

Can you handle a garage full of things we are not taking?

That is exactly what our junk removal side is for. Tell us what is staying and what is going, and we clear the rest in the same visit or a separate one, whichever suits your schedule.

What happens if it is raining on move day?

We bring floor runners and shrink wrap for upholstered furniture and keep the truck ramp covered. A wet morning slows things down a little but it does not stop the day.

How is a move to Indianapolis or Muncie priced compared to a local one?

Local jobs in and around Anderson are billed by the crew and the hours. Trips out toward Indianapolis, Muncie, or further are priced by the load and the distance, and we walk you through both before you book.
