A common route for us
Anderson to Muncie is one of the moves we run most often, close enough to load in the morning and be unpacked the same afternoon. Families relocating for a new job or students settling near campus make up a lot of that traffic.
Because the distance is short, we price these as a local job by the crew and the hours rather than treating it like a long haul.
Student and rental housing
Muncie has a large student rental market, and those moves tend to happen in tight windows around the school calendar. Buildings near campus often have limited parking, so we plan the truck spot ahead of time where we can.
Shared apartments also mean sorting whose furniture is whose before loading day, which we are happy to help sort out during the walk-through if it is not already clear.
Family homes on the Muncie side
Single-family homes in the neighborhoods further from campus look a lot like what we see in Anderson: garages, driveways, and a fair amount of outdoor gear that we load first while the truck is still empty.
Whether the move is heading into Muncie or out of it toward Anderson, the same crew handles both ends.
Timing the trip
Because Anderson and Muncie sit close enough for one load to finish in a day, we usually schedule a morning start so the truck is empty and back on the road before the afternoon gets busy.
Families moving around a school schedule tend to book weekends, while student moves cluster hard around the start and end of the semester, so booking a little earlier during those weeks helps.
Packing for the Muncie run
Given the short distance, most Muncie moves do not need the heavier packing precautions we would use for a longer haul, though we still wrap anything fragile the same way we would for any other job.
Furniture that has to survive a stair carry in a student building gets extra padding around corners regardless of how short the drive is.
