Who we move
Our commercial work covers small offices, retail shops changing locations, medical and dental practices, and light warehouse space. Each has its own quirks and we have worked all of them around Anderson.
Retail moves need inventory kept in order, so shelving and stock are labeled by section and go back in the same layout at the new store.
Planning around your hours
Most office moves run after close or over a weekend, so your team walks in Monday to a desk that is already set up. We build the schedule around your reopening time, not around whatever is convenient for the truck.
A short site visit at both addresses lets us count workstations, check the loading area, and ask what has to be working first at the new place, whether that is a phone line or a specific piece of equipment.
Handling equipment and files
Computers, monitors, and network gear are disconnected, labeled by user, and moved in padded crates so they can be reconnected quickly. Filing cabinets travel with a simple sign-out sheet so nothing goes missing between buildings.
For a medical or dental office, patient records and equipment get an extra layer of care and stay sealed until they reach the new room.
Getting back to work fast
We photograph workstations before disassembly, so whoever puts a desk back together at the new office is working from a picture rather than a guess. That alone saves a surprising number of missing bolts.
By the time your staff arrives, the goal is a desk, a chair, and a working phone, connected and ready, which is the whole point of paying someone else to carry the boxes.
Building rules and loading areas
Small strip centers and standalone offices around Anderson rarely have a formal loading dock, so we plan the truck spot and any needed parking arrangement ahead of the day rather than figuring it out on arrival.
If your new space is in a shared building with other tenants, we check what hours are allowed for a freight move and whether a shared elevator needs to be reserved, so nobody is caught off guard mid move.
Property managers sometimes ask for proof of coverage before a moving crew is allowed to use a loading area, and we can provide that paperwork ahead of time if your building requires it.
Weekend and phased moves
Businesses that run every day of the week sometimes cannot close entirely for a move, so we phase the job by department, moving one area at a time while the rest keeps operating.
A phased approach takes longer overall but means there is always someone able to answer the phone or see a customer while the rest of the office relocates around them.
